Street Fighter 4 - Akuma Vs Balrog Matchup Analysis - Akuma Perspective

This match is interesting because it can be a tough fight for both opponents. In a nutshell, Akuma can run away from Balrog throughout the match because his teleport is so fast, but if Balrog catches him, he's dead meat because he has the lowest vitality of any character in the game. It can become a game of catch and mouse, but still equally intense for both players.
What does Akuma need to do in order to win?
In my experience so far, Akuma has to run away from Balrog and try to frustrate him into losing. He can play a hit and run style and Balrog is basically forced to chase him the entire match because Akuma's teleport is so fast that he's able to easily teleport out of trouble. Even if Balrog has him knocked down in the corner, Akuma can just do a wakeup teleport and be out of there.
Akuma can essentially just throw Air Fireballs from across the screen and teleport either forward or backwards when Balrog gets too close for comfort. He can also jump in with a block string and then cancel into a backwards teleport and if he has a life lead, force Balrog to come after him.
If Balrog chases him, this can mean good news for Akuma because it's very frustrating for Balrog because he has no Fireball and no really fast way to get across the screen. Impatient Balrogs have a tendency to get hit by a lot of Fireballs when chasing him and give up minor chunks of damage that start to add up to a lot after a short while.
Eventually, if Akuma keeps it up long enough, Balrog will lose by timeout or will make enough mistakes for Akuma to catch him with a Raging Demon or other big opening. This is a very effective strategy because it takes advantage of most players' impatience.

Learn How to Play Warhammer Online Like the Pros

In the highly competitive world of Warhammer Online, starting out can be tough. Coming from somebody who isn't the greatest gamer in the world, I'd like to help some other people that may not be coming out on top online. I've been playing since release and I just wanted to share some of the things I've learned along the way.
First, find a good forum to join. Being able to communicate and make friends with the people you are playing with will not only help you out but make the game much more enjoyable. In an MMO like Warhammer, you need as many friends as possible to help you out along the way. The more allies the better in a war zone.
Second, do not purchase the guide sold in stores. This was available on the release day and I fell into the trap and bought it. This was a huge mistake. The guide was outdated from day 1. I should have known this but I was hoping to be able to learn a little bit to have an edge right from the beginning. This guide was a complete waste of money, I didn't learn anything from it and it did not help me one bit.
I do however recommend picking up an online guide in PDF file form. Online guides are much better because they feature tested and true methods and in the case of the guide I used, allow you to join a community that will help you out in a way the normal warhammer community forums do not. There is no way I could have reached level 40 and had as much gold as I had without a good guide.
The number 1 reason to use an online guide is though is that they are updated. In an MMO, especially a new one like Warhammer Online, things are constantly being changed and updated. A static guide can be rendered worthless in a few days. Online guides are constantly updated so they are always compatible with the game.
Some people argue that a guide or walkthrough cheapens certain aspects of the game. I think this is nonsense, especially in a game like Warhammer Online, which has so many hidden things. Without the guide I would have missed out on a ton of content. If you really want to see the whole game, a guide is the only way to go.
As I stated before I've been playing since the release date and so far I've managed to level an Ironbreaker to 40 and I'm now working on my second character. For more information on the guides I've used or just more information on getting ahead

Computer Game Design For Success

If you are a good computer programmer who has a problem with working on a nine to five monotonous job, internet game design may well be the career for you.
You can start by working on designing computer games after your day job until the project starts paying. You need to invest in software that will help you do the job better. After a while, if you really find that this is your interest, you will soon need time to work on projects and can quit your routine job.
You should put up a website to market your games, try pricing them a little lower than the others after researching competitive prices online. You could first let customers download a limited offer or demo game for free. The demo game should be so programmed that it shuts down after three months if the customer does not buy your software. If your games are addictive then you will have many customers to buy them. You can make changes to games that do not seem to get enough players and make new offers.
You can offer computer friendly card games, interactive games and board games to get a wide customer base. You can also design downloadable games for mobile phones and hand help computers.
You will soon make more money doing an enjoyable job. You can design games in your own time and at your own pace. Your customers get hooked on to the free trial games and will buy your games bringing you good profits. You get the money to live a great lifestyle while enjoying your work style.

10 Commercial Games That Should Be Free

It's not like we're begging for games. It's just that some videogames absolutely deserve to be experienced by the most players possible. History in the making, classics that should be free, accessible to everybody.
Here we list some of them. Games that we're never forgotten, despite having more than 10 years on their shoulders. If you can find a copy, then play them, learn from them and see how they influenced what we play nowadays.
Another World (1991)
Another World is a fantastic and revolutionary creation of french developer Delphine Software. The new graphic style and fluid animation was absolutely stunning and it amazed the entire world, previously so wary of the 'crazy french games'. The spiritual sequel, Flashback, was also fantastic, but Another World was an incredible adventure, filled with surprises and emotions. It should be experimented by every player. Oh, and let's forget Fade to Black, the sequel to Flashback, that came bundled with awkward camera and frustrating controls.
A lesson in history: A fabulous adventure with a heart.
Meanwhile, you can try:
Bear Go Home
Colonization (1994)
Microprose released Colonization in 1994, a turn-based strategy game inspired by Civilization but with its own personality. It stole days and days from millions of gamers, who would go to any lenghts to colonize a piece of land and in the end were honored by giving their names to a bird. Or something. In 2008 Colonization received a much deserved update in the shape of Civilization IV: Colonization. A missed opportunity for the 1994 game to become free and act as a nice marketing stunt...
A lesson in history: The most addictive thing ever!
Meanwhile, you can try:
Freeciv
Destruction Derby (1995)
Created by Reflections, this is a racing game with the added bonus of wrecking other cars. You can race, you can finish in first place, but in some modes you also score by crashing into opponents. It spawned several sequels and quite a few impersonators, of which FlatOut is the most known.
A lesson in history: The damage model was absolutely stunning.
Meanwhile, you can try:
TrackMania Nations Forever
Driving Speed 2
Moonstone: A Hard Days Knight (1991)
Moonstone: A Hard Days Knight blended several genres, but it was the fighting that remained engraved in players' memories. The knights died in the goriest ways, limbs fly and blood is spilt all over the place. Moonstone was banned in Germany. Now, if that's not history...
A lesson in history: Blood is good! In videogames, naturally!
Meanwhile, you can try:
Street Fighter 2
Mortal Kombat (MUGEN Project) 4.1
One Must Fall: 2097
Planescape: Torment (1999)
Planescape: Torment arrived in the wake of the Fallout games and is another brilliant RPG that didn't sell as well as it deserved. The Nameless One is the protagonist, who awakes without any memories only to quickly find out that he's immortal. The plot is heavily text-based and the intertwining stories are filled with satire and dark humor. It's a cult classic and thousands of players still remember it fondly.
A lesson in history: A role-playing game with its own - rotting - identity.
Meanwhile, you can try:
Erm... Cake Queen?
Road Rash (1991)
Road Rash is a violent motorcycle-racing videogame where the player had to use all means to arrive in first place. Not just racing but also hitting other bikers with nunchucks, clubs and stuff like that. There are rumors that a new chapter may be in production, although Electronic Arts remains silent about it.
A lesson in history: It was fun to race and fight at the same time, and the environment was one of the most realistic to date.
Meanwhile, you can try:
Furious Biker
System Shock (1994)
System Shock was released by the now defunct Looking Glass Studios, receiving critical acclaim but poor sales. It was revolutionary for the time, featuring innovations like climbing, ducking and leaning in a true 3D environment. Don't laugh, it was revolutionary in the 90's! The sequel, System Shock 2, played the same tune - critical acclaim and poor sales. Spiritual sequel BioShock corrected this, being considered one of the best games of 2007 and selling like hotcakes.
A lesson in history: The free 3D environment was revolutionary.
Meanwhile, you can try:
Starsiege: Tribes (Multiplayer, sure, but it's also very sci-fi)
Penumbra
The Lost Vikings (1992)
It's made by Blizzard, you know, the same guys from Diablo, Warcraft and Starcraft. Wait, actually, it was made by Silicon & Synapse, before they turned into Blizzard. The Lost Vikings was the most clever platform game, putting us in control of three different vikings who had to work together to navigate the levels, using their distinct abilities. The player only controlled one at a time. A sequel was released in 1994.
A lesson in history: A fun platform game that required constant reflexion.
Meanwhile, you can try:
Hurrican (If you have any better suggestions, feel free to let me know...)
The Secret of Monkey Island (1990)
Sure, there's Loom, Maniac Mansion or Full Throttle, but Guybrush Threepwood is undoubtedly the most badass - often dumbass - character of videogaming history. He wanted to be a pirate and he mostly succeeded, even going against a supernatural foe - LeChuck, with its by then dark beard. The latest game in the series, Escape from Monkey Island, was released in 2000 to a positive reception, but far from critical acclaim. Since then, there are rumors of a fifth game, but nothing has yet surfaced.
A lesson in history: Point & Click was never this funny!
Meanwhile, you can try:
Flight of the Amazon Queen
A Tale of Two Kingdoms
The Need For Speed (1995)
The Need For Speed (yes, with a 'The' in the name) was first released on the 3DO on 1994 and a year later on PC. It featured realistic graphics and handling, but most of the sequels opted for a more arcade feeling. If you're uncomfortable with this classic, then by all means choose 4D Sports Driving, a flawed but revolutionary game that offered different camera views, replays and a track editor. And it was developed by Distinctive Software, later responsible for this same The Need For Speed under the EA brand.
A lesson in history: It paved the way to a lot of driving games.
Meanwhile, you can try:
Final Drive Fury 2.0
Mercedes CLC Dream Test Drive

Improving a PC Role Playing Game

Computer Role Playing games have borrowed the idea of pen-and-paper role playing game and converted those into games that can be played on a computer. In the game the player plays a character which is a part of an intricate plot developed based on some fantasy tale.
The character which the player depicts has a group of followers who are out on a mission or quest. They have magical powers and skills to handle weapons. This group, following a set of rules and map of their advancement face a number of mythical enemies. The aim is to defeat the enemies, collect powers, stamina, and weapon skill on the way and reach the goal.
The computer role playing games run on certain mechanics or rules. These rules lay down what the characters could or could not do to make the computer follow the actions of the player and non-player characters.
These mechanics often intrude into the game restricting the characters to be creative. Learning the rules every time before playing the game could be boring for some players. This could be dealt with if the games are more generic and has more adventure and backgrounds than rules. The rules that are there for magic or combat etc. can be unfolded as the game progress.
Another point regarding the rules that would increase the charm of the games greatly is to incorporate some kind of unrealistic elements. These games are after all fantasies so the players are not going to be much concerned about realism.
These stories are not set in the real world so the characters' ability to do impossible things is perfectly normal. When you are playing Super Hero it is but natural for you to have a set of rules and attributes which sets you apart from common man.
When the players are engaged in playing a CRPG they are in a fantasy world and not expecting to be related to the reality. So trying to connect the rules to reality has its own problems. It restricts the players' ability to play on his or her own way. A CRPG should give the players the freedom to role play which is quite exciting and play it as he or she goes along.
Any CRPG should be a mind teaser. Planning the next move, solving problems, and taking split-second decision is what will keep the players interested in the game. They play to have fun and have some good time getting away from the reality. Any good Role Playing Game should be developed keeping this in mind.

Stop Lagging, Start Gaming

If you are experiencing lag during gameplay, you should optimize your computer in order to run new games smoothly. By doing these little tweaks , I have managed to increase my game's frame rate from 30 frames per second to almost 50 frames per second. Also, I have managed to decrease loading times.
The most effective way to decrease loading times is to defragment your harddrive. This way, the information is accessed much faster. The second way to optimize loading times, is to decrease ram usage. If you want to reduce it to almost 10mb, you should install a free version of windowsXP, called MicroXP. The downside is that most functionality will be disabled. Therefore it is recommended to disable any service that you will not need via the registry and configuration panel. Disable all 'COM+' services, since they are only required for programming with the dot net framework and disable Net Meeting Remote Desktop Sharing '. Also disable 'IPSec Services'.
When done, you have disabled the worst ram-eaters. Then you will have to optimize your internet connection. This can be done by applying the TCP-half-open-patch, to increase the number of connections to 64. This is the recommended number, since this Is often the maximum number of players per server. The default setting is ten. Also disable 'Wireless Zero' if you are not on a wireless network.
In addition, optimizing the registry is even more important. The registry is queried many times a second so a small fix will give you quite a boost of speed. Optimizing the registry is best done automatically, instead of manually. This is not because of things you can mess up, but because of the number of optimizations you can apply to the Microsoft windows registry

How to Make Gold Quick in WoW - Guaranteed Gold Making Method For 400 Gold Per Hour

"How to make gold quick in WoW ?" that's the question that 99.99% of the WoW players ask themselves everyday. I was asking myself this question too but after some long months I finally found out how to make gold quick in wow so now gold is not a problem for me. Read the article and you may also understand how to make gold quick in wow.
First let's talk about why we need to make gold fast: -Is it because we want some great mounts? -Is it because we want some great weapons? No matter the reason, we all need gold and I can tell you that the solution isn't to buy gold from weird gold sellers because as you might already know, selling and buying gold or any other items is prohibited by Blizzard, the company that owns World of Warcraft.
So, what's the best and also safe method that we can use to make gold? The most effective method that I've found is called the Auction House method and using it you can make large quantities of gold.
You'd probably be asking how the method works by now. The Auction House methods consists in 3 steps:
1. Research the AH. This is the most important step and if you don't know how to do this correctly you can say good-bye to earning gold. You need to see what items are selling fast, and for what price. Sometimes you can see items selling for high prices and although the buyer knows the item is overpriced he would still buy it. One example of hot items can be the reputation items. 2.Buy a hot item for the lowest price that you can get. 3.Resell the item for a profit.
The profits that the AH can bring are huge but you need to do it correctly. Some top wow players developed their own gold making methods and they released all these methods in their guides. The Auction House or the auctioneer method is very well described in their guides so you might check them out.
